🪷 The Sacred Art of Living Well
By Reverend Sharon Renae
I never set out to “find my soul style.” Honestly, it all started because I didn’t like my office.
The walls were old paneling, the furniture was mismatched and clunky, and none of it sparked joy. It felt like I was sitting inside someone else’s story—and I was ready to reclaim my own.
So I painted the walls white. I added peel-and-stick brick to one section. I created a turquoise feature wall with a Buddha in the center. And as I slowly started piecing things together, something unexpected happened: I began hearing my soul again.
This wasn’t about aesthetics. It was about alignment.
Decorating From the Inside Out
For years I described myself as a boho-gypsy-hippie soul—and that still rings true. But now I also carry a new maturity, a groundedness, a desire for clarity and beauty that feeds me instead of draining me.
That shift began when I started asking myself better questions. What colors light me up? What fabrics feel like me? What energy do I want to surround myself with?
I started pouring my design confusion into it like a spiritual Pinterest board with AI support. What came back wasn’t just suggestions—it was clarity. And a little healing along the way.
Your Home Is a Reflection of Your Spirit
Our home is more than where we live—it’s where our soul rests, where our energy either refuels or gets drained.
If your home feels chaotic, heavy, or full of things you don’t love, your spirit feels it. Maybe not loudly, but subtly, constantly.
So I started walking room to room, asking:
“Does this spark joy, or hold me back?”
“Do I love this, or am I keeping it out of guilt?”
“Am I making do, or am I making sacred space?”
Even something as simple as cleaning out my refrigerator became an act of love—because when I opened the door and saw only what was nourishing, I felt peace. That’s sacred. That’s spiritual.
Living in Alignment Is a Daily Practice
This isn’t about becoming a minimalist or a design expert. It’s about treating yourself and your space with reverence. With love. With permission to evolve.
Whether you’re dressing your body or decorating your kitchen, ask yourself:
“Does this reflect who I am becoming?”
When you start choosing things that match your soul—not society—you’ll feel the shift. You’ll sleep better. Breathe easier. Smile more.
And when that happens, your sacred space expands beyond your walls and into every part of your life.
A Final Blessing
I’m still on this journey, one room and one breath at a time. But I can tell you with full heart: the more I choose what uplifts me, the more anchored I feel in the Divine.
So I bless you now to do the same.
Start with one corner, one drawer, one habit.
Choose beauty. Choose clarity. Choose joy.
And know that in doing so, you are choosing your soul.
With love and light,
Sharon
